She screamed as she walked through the door and something heavy landed on her head.
‘Surprise!’ trumpeted the dragonling. ‘I got you! I got you!’
She picked up the dragon and tossed him onto the bed, where he chortled as he bounced.
‘How many times have I told you not to do that? You’re going to teach the babies bad habits.’
The dragonling looked cowed. ‘Uh … actually …’
The human yelped again as three kittens hit her head and clung on with sharp little claws.
